Beethoven A Major Cello Sonata - 1st Movement

Parasitism, Prostitution or Negation is a piece composed by Lucy Samuels, after being commissioned by the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Centre for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in the Arts (CEDIA). It takes its name from Mina Loy's Feminist Manifesto, and has used this prophetic text as its inspiration.

The recording of Beethoven A Major Sonata First Movement features Lucy Samuels on cello and Lucy Eccleshall on piano. The two women are long-term duo partners and recorded this as part of their masters auditions admission cycle in 2021.
